Medicare insurance is provided for people who are 65 years of age and above or people less then 65 years but have certain disabilities or any age group people suffering from renal disease that require dialysis or a kidney transplant. The medical insurance provides compensation for those in case of any accident or illness. Medical insurance also pay compensation for visiting the physicians and their fees. Medicare insurance is administered by government bodies like Health Care Finance Administration with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. But there are private medicare insurance that are managed and administered by private organizations. Medicare insurance gets its fund from the salaried group people. Every year it is compulsory for all salaried people to pay 1.5 percent of their taxable amount towards medicare funds. The premium amount for medicare insurance is generally deducted from the salary of employees and the premium amount is calculated as certain percentage of the taxable amount. It is usually calculated as 1.5 percent of their taxable amount. Every eligible citizen who attains the age of 65 is automatically covered under medicare insurance and is entitled to medicare benefits. Medicare insurance pay them compensation and subsidy in case of hospitalization and doctor fees. Government has formulated medical insurance to provide all eligible citizens an affordable insurance. Medicare insurance gets its maximum funding from Federal Insurance Contribution Act. As this insurance is placed into a trust fund, the collected fund is later used to pay compensation for eligible citizens in case of hospitalization and doctor fees. Cigna insurance providers are a government organization in health care that provides different types of health insurance and services. Cigna insurance providers also provide services in medicare. The services provided by Cigna in medicare insurance are highly reliable and efficient and they are very prompt in processing their claim. The person who accepts to pay medicare insurance premium is called an insured. The premium is collected from the insured as a fee for the service. The medicare plan not only covers healthcare services but also it covers the prescription drugs in some cases. There are different types of medicare policies to suit the requirements of the individual insurance.
Generally there are two types of medicare insurance, they are
Hospital insurance covers hospital services, home health care services, hospice care services and skilled nursing facilities. The above-mentioned portion is usually provided at minimum cost or at no cost to the member who have either worked themselves or had spouses worked and paid taxes. |
